Applications for Scholarships and Bursaries open on Friday 7th July 2023
Applications and all supporting documents must be received by 3:30pm, Friday 11th August 2023.
Scholarship Examinations will be held on Saturday 19th August 2023 from 9:00am – 11:30am, at St Ursula’s College.
Applicants are required to complete all sections of the student application and personal statement.
Please note that documents received after Friday 11th August 2023 will not be accepted and incomplete applications will not be considered for ranking.
A requirement of the application process is that shortlisted applicants attend an interview with their parents or guardian. This interview is to establish whether or not you meet the conditions set out in the program guidelines.
Please note a $50 scholarship fee is payable once (regardless of the number of scholarship categories selected).
Previous unsuccessful applicants are welcome to re-sit the scholarship examination.

St Ursula’s College is proud to offer a range of Scholarships to support the unique needs of our students.
Our Scholarship examinations are offered annually and are usually awarded for a two-year period or longer depending on the candidate.

Ursuline Academic Honour Scholarships
These scholarships are based on previous two years school reports, St Ursula’s College Scholarship Examination result and NAPLAN and/or ICAS results (if available).
Ursuline Academic & All Rounder Scholarships
These scholarships are based on the previous two years’ school reports, St Ursula’s College Scholarship Examination results and NAPLAN and/or ICAS results (if available) and supporting evidence in one or more of the following domains to attach to the application:
– Faith Leadership
– School Leadership
– Sport
– Music
– Dance
– Drama
– Art
– Languages other than English
– Public Speaking/Debating
– STEM Learning
– Information Communication Technology
– Digital Design
Merici Academic Scholarships
These scholarships are based on previous two years school reports, St Ursula’s College Scholarship Examination result and NAPLAN and/or ICAS results and Literacy and Numeracy skills as evident in the examination.
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) – Smith Family Scholarships
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) offers scholarships and leadership opportunities to young Indigenous Australians. The IYLP is offered in conjunction with the Indigenous Education at St Ursula’s College. This scholarship is open for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander girls commencing Year 7 in 2024 and any other year groups. Bursaries
St Ursula’s College offers annual Bursaries to young women who excel, or have the potential to excel, but whom without financial support would be unable to attend St Ursula’s College. Bursaries are offered on a 12 month basis, and are means tested and reviewed annually. The Merici Bursary
These bursaries are means-tested and require additional evidence of your financial situation. These bursaries are approved by the College Business Manager and Principal. In most cases, these bursaries are no more than 50% of the tuition cost.
The Doug Hall Foundation Bursary
These bursaries are means-tested and require the recipient to be a student of St Ursula’s College. The circumstances of the recipient must be considered as requiring financial assistance. The Principal will apply directly to the Doug Hall Foundation for this scholarship and must provide specific evidence of need. The recipient must maintain consistent academic improvement. The recipient will sign an agreement with the Doug Hall Foundation.
The Ursuline Sisters Bursary
These bursaries cover the entire duration of the recipient’s enrolment at St Ursula’s College. A special application is made to the Ursuline Sisters Scholarship by the Principal in writing. The Ursuline Sisters consider each application submitted, their decision is final. There are no more than three (3) such bursaries provided at the College at any one time.
