Where new faces are always welcome.
The Parents and Friends’ Association is open to all parents and friends of students at St Ursula’s College. The Association holds monthly meetings at the College.
At our meetings, every endeavour is made to invite a guest speaker to address the group. Guest speakers are usually teachers or students who update the assembled parents and friends on a particular aspect of college life. Mrs Tanya Appleby, College Principal, also presents her Principal’s Report at each meeting.
The Parents and Friends’ Association does not fundraise through fetes or chocolate drives, but receives funds through the Parents and Friends’ voluntary levy. The levy allows the Parents and Friends’ Association to assist with resources and extend the facilities used by the students. All parents are encouraged to respond to this commitment.
In the past the Parents and Friends’ Association has supported the students by providing:
- New Science lab furniture
- Large outdoor sun shelter
- Advanced trees for Merici Courtyard
- Engraved vases for graduating Year 12 students
- New furniture in Year 7 classrooms
- Shade sails
- Classroom fans
- School blazers
- Outdoor chess set
- Defibrillator
